Why per second wins
The rate that matters is the one you pay for real talk
On a typical outbound list, about half the answered calls end inside 20 seconds: a busy customer, a wrong number, a quick "not interested". With per-minute billing, every one of those costs a full minute. With per-second billing, a 12-second call costs ₹1.80 and nothing more.
That is why a lower rate on a price card can still give a higher bill. A rate of ₹4 a minute that rounds every call up to a minute, with the phone line charged on top, often ends up costing ₹9 to ₹10 for each minute of real conversation.
